Hi there, welcome to Downing Properties!

We are Jay and Mieka Downing.  I (Mieka)  grew up in West Michigan and have been a Rockford resident for 10 years. Jay is from the Lansing area originally and has called Rockford home for over 10 years.  We have both grown to love and think of Rockford as our hometown.  We have been married since 2013 and have 3 amazing children, Ella-15, Jax-6, Cru-2.  We love traveling, golfing, spending time with our family and friends, Michigan football and basketball, reading, coffee, maybe a little wine here and there, and helping people in any way we can.
Which is what ultimately led us to real estate.  With a love of West Michigan and a passion for real estate and helping others, it just made sense.  

Jay started out in the investing area more than 7 years ago. That is definitely his specialty and passion.  He's excited to help others get their start and navigate the investing side of real estate.
